The exhibition honours the life's work of Landshut filmmaker Jan Walter Habarta (1927-1998). For his productions, he perfected the technique of the laying trick. Habarta's short films for the children's television series Rappelkiste and Zirkus Zapzaroni were shown on ZDF and Bayerischer Rundfunk. For the latter, the Silesian-born producer collaborated with the Munich-based illustrator and cartoonist Dieter Klama. For the cinema, he created surreal short films for an adult audience.

Numerous scenic images transport visitors to the exhibition into the animator's "fantastic worlds". Working materials from his estate, such as flat figures and storyboards, provide an insight into his technique.
