We can do a lot with our smartphones:
Listen to music, take photos, watch films and make phone calls.
In the past, you needed various technical devices to do this.
These included photographic equipment and cameras for filming.
There were machines for writing or record players for listening to music.
We show this old technology in our museum, but also a lot more.
You can touch and try out lots of things.
There is an exhibition about computers and their electronic chips.
And you can see old machines for calculating and writing.
These were the beginnings.
Later, computers were developed from them.
Another area is about maths.
But more like a game, with trial and error, climbing, hearing and seeing.
Another topic is that many animated films were made in Dresden.
Our museum is for children, young people and adults.
It is located in a former factory in Dresden-Striesen.
Photographic equipment and film cameras used to be made here.
