Market of Opportunities: Education and Culture in Dialogue. Focus on Schools
The Market of Opportunities provides a space for exchange, networking and collaboration, with a focus on cultural education projects for schools in Dresden. We will be presenting the educational programmes offered by the museums of the City of Dresden.

Design glowing Christmas cards with LEDs and copper circuit tracks, build small brush robots and glowing alpacas, or sandblast glasses with your own designs: the Dresden Technology Collections and Jugend hackt invite you to get creative with hands-on activities at the Striezelmarkt.

At the Jugend hackt Lab Dresden, everything revolves around coding, robotics and artificial intelligence. Whilst the Dresden Technology Collections are undergoing refurbishment, the Jugend hackt Lab is moving to the Medienkulturzentrum at Kraftwerk Mitte. Here, children and young people aged 12 and over can, as usual, experiment with new technologies, bring their own ideas to life and tinker together in the Open Lab every second Wednesday from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm.

At the DLR_School_Lab at TU Dresden, children and young people become budding researchers. They learn about the latest developments in energy, mobility and materials technology and discuss the importance of technological research for the future of our society. Before the DLR_School_Lab also moves to the temporary premises in the Landhaus, the workshops will take place at a third location from January to May 2027. Planning for this is currently underway.

With our Mobile Maths Adventure Land, we bring the Maths Adventure Land experience into public spaces and right to your doorstep. The exhibits encourage visitors to get involved, have a go and make discoveries, bringing maths to life in a fun way, wherever you are.
