Image requests

Do you need a digital reproduction? Would you like to publish something from our collections in your own publication? Do you need image material for your doctoral thesis?

For any form of use of image material - for example for research purposes, scientific publications, exhibitions, film contributions or commercial purposes - a written application for image use is required. You are welcome to send us your request with our application for image use / reproduction authorisation.

In any form of image use, the user is responsible for protecting the rights of third parties. These include, in particular, copyright and related rights, personal rights and property rights.

The Museums of the City of Dresden grant the simple right of use as specified in the application. The image material is only provided for the authorised purpose.

The regulations of the current version of the Fee Regulations (EGO) apply to the use of images from the collections of the museums of the City of Dresden. The fee structure distinguishes between provision, production and right of use. The prices are staggered according to the type of publication (print, e-book, online, film, etc.), circulation and distribution period.
