At the beginning of 2026, the Dresden Technology Collections established an advisory board to support the work of the museum and science centre in an advisory capacity. The committee brings together representatives from science, politics, education and business to help shape the strategic development of the museum and further strengthen the networking of the Dresden Technology Collections.
The members of the advisory board are

- Prof. Dr Dr hc. mult. Sebastian M. Schmidt, Scientific Director of the Helmholtz Centre Dresden-Rossendorf
- Dr Frank Kromer, Member of the Saxon State Parliament and of the Blasewitz Municipal Advisory Council
- Michel Junge, Managing Director of the phaeno Science Centre in Wolfsburg
- Kerstin Ines Müller, Head of the Schools Department at the State Office for Schools and Education
- Marion Schmidt, Chief Communication Officer at TU Dresden
- Frank Bösenberg, Managing Director of Silicon Saxony
- Prof Dr Matthias Vojta, Spokesperson of the Cluster of Excellence ctd.qmat at TU Dresden
